I've always been a VR hater. I've never really tried it, and the few times I have it was a bad uncomfortable experience. Most recent I tried my brother's PSVR 2 with Grand Turismo 7 with a wheel, which was a really immersive experience but was really uncomfortable with glasses on and unplayable without them.
Recently Target had a deal on the Meta Quest 2 for pretty cheap, and I did some research and learned it works ok with glasses, so I figured what the hell. I've been playing with it a few days and am pretty impressed. It fits pretty well with glasses, and I honestly can't even really tell I'm wearing them. The games I've tried so far are simple, but I understand why proponents of VR enjoy it so much. One of the experiences I tried was flying around a Cyberpunk city, and it really felt like I was there. Google Earth VR was insane. I tried a VR Pinball game and had to remind myself I wasn't really playing pinball in real life.
Fanatical and Humble both had VR bundles going on, so I jumped in and bought a bunch of games for cheap. I'm really excited to dive more into VR, especially Half Life Alyx next time it goes on sale. I do think VR is still a bit of a novelty and the games aren't really there yet, and once the shiny new feeling wears off I'll probably only play with it once in a while. But for now I'm enjoying it, even if I can only really handle about an hour or so at a time.
They also sell prescription lenses so you don't have to wear glasses. I think I'm going to bite on those too once I get a new prescription.
