The Gate of the Feral Gods review

February 25, 2025 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: reviews

If you've made it this far in the series, you know what you're getting: silly, fun popcorn reading with some heartfelt moments and hit-or-miss humor that leans a bit more towards hit for me.

The Gate of the Feral Gods wasn't my favorite book in the series. The main plot was easy enough to follow, but there were too many subplots and quests going on and it got a bit messy. They also weren't as engaging as the previous books. I also still really don't care about the out of dungeon story, but the ending of this book seems to be making it more of a factor.

All in all, I still enjoyed this entry. It's fun, and funny, and well-written for what it is. But it's losing its steam a bit for me and I hope the next entry shakes it up a bit.
