A fantastic conclusion to a great series. All the threads of plot come together nicely in a big inevitable final battle, and while the ending was predictable it was also satisfying.
The first part of the novel is a little messy; there are so many characters and plot threads spread out over a ton of rather vague geography that it's a little tough to keep everything straight. That feeling fades and characters start to converge and it all comes together. As a critique of the series as a whole, I wish some of the enemy factions were explained a bit more - I don't think I really understood some of the side antagonists' true relevance to the plot.
Overall a great series, especially for those who like their fantasy full of knights and chivalry. There's plenty of magic here too, but this series is pretty grounded. Cameron nails the historical stuff.
