Blood Feud review

March 26, 2025 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: reviews

Another excellent entry, and in my opinion an improvement on the first novel. Blood Feud pick up right where where Rise of a Champion leaves off, and is much more of a page-turner.

A rollercoaster with plenty of politics, intrigue, hope and loss. Rudge evokes the courts and landscape of medieval Spain brilliantly, and doesn't let historical fact get in the way of telling a more interesting story.

This series is up there with some of the best historical fiction I've read, and deserves to be more widely read.
