Yakuza 6: The Song of Life

March 18, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Yakuza 6 is the continuation and finale(?) of Kiryu's story. Expect all the usual Yakuza stuff here - the serious main story, silly side stories, minigames, etc. - and it looks better than ever.

A new location is introduced - the seaside town of Onomichi. I really liked this town, as I've liked all the towns we visit in Yakuza outside of Kamurocho. I got really into the baseball minigame in this one. There's some pretty decent mechanics to it and it's fairly fleshed out.

If you haven't gotten tired of the Yakuza formula by now, you probably never will. Yakuza 6 continues the proven winning formula, and if you enjoyed the rest of the games, 6 is a no-brainer.

Verdict: Finished

Part of the Game Library Project
