WBSC eBASEBALL™: POWER PROS is the newest entry in the Power Pros series, a wildly popular baseball game series in Japan. It's never been released in the West until now, and for $1 I had to give it a try.

I'm a big fan of the MLB the Show games, and while I don't buy them every year I do still enjoy playing them every once in a while. These days there's no real competition in the baseball video game market, and while Power Pros definitely doesn't compete with The Show on a simulation front, it does provide a pretty solid arcade baseball experience that's surprisingly deep for such a cheap game.

After a lengthy tutorial, you can create a custom team of players and then play quick games, tournaments, league games, and online Championship games. Controls are tight and gameplay feels good. Graphics are very simple and very Japanese, but they work well for the game's style. 

If you're looking for a hardcore baseball simulation with real MLB teams, this is the wrong place. But if you want some solid arcade baseball on the cheap, Power Pros can't be beat.
