Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

March 19, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

You can pretty firmly point to Uncharted as the point where Sony adopted its "cinematic" style of games. A mix of Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones, the first Uncharted game is a nice action adventure game that lays the foundation for the rest of the games to follow.

Uncharted is a third person shooter. In this game, the mechanics are just ok. Shooting is a little clunky and melee doesn't feel great. Outside of that though, the game's a gem. It's got a cool treasure hunter story, and Nathan Drake is a really fun character.

This game on its own is really nothing special, but it lays the groundwork for the series and is still fun to play.

Verdict: Finished

Part of the Game Library Project
