Trials of Mana

July 30, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

I've wanted to play the Trials of Mana remake for a long time. It's right up my alley - hack and slash gameplay, not terribly long, and not a gigantic empty open world. I finally played the demo and really enjoyed it.

The graphics are simple, but the anime style helps make them timeless. Combat is fast, and a little easy at this point. I really like the party system too (the demo only let me play as 2 of my characters, Duran and Charlotte). The voice acting is hit or miss, but just cheesy enough to make the bad feel fun. I'm going to buy the complete game and keep playing.

Verdict: Keep Playing
