Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition

March 11, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Titan Quest: Anniversary Edition is a rerelease of the original Titan Quest. It's an ARPG in the vein of Grim Dawn and Torchlight. Being a fan of the genre, and of the games mythological setting, I was really excited to play this one. Unfortunately, I didn't have a great time.

Titan Quest really shows its age. the game looks decent, but controls a bit clunkily and doesn't feel great to play. I found the targeting system rather bad, and had a hard time attacking specific enemies. Controller support is present, but it isn't great. The genre has evolved in the many years since this game released, and unless you really enjoy the setting, there's not a ton of reason to go back to it over playing something like Grim Dawn.

Verdict: Uninstall
