The Walking Dead Season 1

March 12, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

The Walking Dead S1 is another game from Telltale's heyday, and it's another good one. Here, we play as original character Lee, a man saved from a prison sentence by the outbreak, who encounters and protects Clementine, an orphaned girl.

Gameplay is the same as any Telltale game. You walked around 3D environments, interact with objects to solve puzzles, and do quicktime events. As always, the reason to buy this game is the story. The found family theme here makes for an emotional story, and although the player's actions don't have a major impact on the ending, something that always annoys me about these games, it's still well worth playing.

This game released well before the world got tired of the Walking Dead franchise, and while people may be tired of zombies and the Walking Dead these days, this game holds up.

Verdict: Finished

Part of the Game Library Project
