The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante is an interactive fiction/choose your own adventure game where you play as the eponymous Sir Brante from life till death, making choices that shape the narrative as you age. It's got quite a bit of style, and seems to have some depth and consequence to the choices that aren't see terribly often in the genre.
The game is presented in journal format, with your character being old and on his deathbed. The frame is introduced briefly, and then the game launches into the story being told in present tense. Visually, it drips with style and looks great. I wish there was some more audio, or a narrator, but those are nitpicks. I really like these types of games, and this seems like one of the better ones. I've played through one chapter of five, and I'm going to keep playing. The story has drawn me in, and it seems like choices you make can actually affect the ending. This one should be good for at least 1 full playthrough, and maybe more if I'm motivated enough.
Verdict: Keep Playing
