Scribblenauts Unlimited

July 13, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Scribblenauts was a game that I first played on the DS, but it wasn't until I got it on the PC that I completed it. The game is simple at its core, made for kids, but there's a surprising amount of depth. You've got a magic notebook and can conjure up any object you can think of to solve puzzles and complete the level's objective.

You can conjure an airplane to fly up to the top of the level, or a jetpack. You can summon scuba gear or a submarine to travel underwater. It's kid-friendly, and an excellent idea for a game. The possibilities are limitless, and there's enough levels for a good 8-10 hour playthrough. It's not something that's going to be especially challenging for adults, but if you've got a few bucks to spare it's well worth it to see what unique solutions you can come up with.

There's also a DC Comics themed spin-off, which I haven't played much of. I'll get to that one eventually.

Verdict: Finished
