Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart

March 19, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Rift Apart was probably the first AAA PS5 game I played that was built for the PS5 from the ground up. As a R&C game, it's a very clear step up from the 2016. As a PS5 game, it's an excellent, albeit short, singleplayer romp that shows the potential of the console.

Rift apart is a visual feast. You can tell this game would not have worked on the PS4. It also makes great use of the new controller features, like the adaptive triggers and the haptic feedback. It's a bit short for a full price release, but as a PS5 only game (rare even in 2023), it's well worth a pickup.

Verdict: Finished

Part of the Game Library Project
