Lonely Mountains: Downhill is a cool little time attack game where you race a mountain bike down a mountain as fast as possible.
It's pure, simple, unadulterated fun, and a great test of reflexes and reaction time. It shares a bit of its DNA with the Trials series, but feels fundamentally different. You have a greater degree of freedom in your movement, and don't influence your rider's position on the bike, but the end goal is the same: progress through the level as quickly as possible without falling.
This definitely isn't a "complete it" game. But it is a "let me do one more run" game. Runs are only a few minutes long, unlocks are plentiful, and there's enough variety in trails and landscapes to stay interesting. Very cool game. Maybe a little pricey at $20, but well worth $10 and a must-buy at anything cheaper.
Verdict: Timewaster
