Grim Dawn

With the Diablo 4 beta here, I got thinking about one of its chief competitors in the genre: Grim Dawn.

I've never beaten Grim Dawn, but it's a game I find myself going back to over the years. I really like the combination class system - there's a lot of room for fun builds that break out of the standard barbarian-rogue-sorcerer trilogy.

The game looks great for its age - I think it looks on par with the Diablo 4 beta I just played. The story is fine, I don't pay much attention to it in these types of games.

Grim Dawn is one of the best ARPGs on the market, and regularly goes on sale (though the expansions that complete the story are pricey). If you're looking for a game to hold you over till Diablo 4 releases, Grim Dawn is maybe your best bet.

Verdict: Keep Installed/Timewaster
