Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series

March 12, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Telltale's Game of Thrones is yet another of Telltale's licensed 3d Adventure games, and where many say the series started going downhill. That may be true, objectively, but I really enjoyed this one. I played this game in 2015, the height of my interest in the book series, and that definitely played a role in how much I enjoyed this game.

Here, we play as several members of an original House in the north. A minor one, that doesn't play a real role in the larger events of the series. I liked the stories, but this game leans too heavily on the bleakness of the series, and once again falls into the trap of making your choices not matter to the story, despite what the game tells you. Gameplay is the same as other TT games.

This game is no longer for sale due to licensing issues, but it's a hard recommend anyway unless you're a big Game of Thrones fan.

Verdict: Finished
