Fester Mudd and the Curse of the Gold - Episode 1

February 22, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Fester Mudd seems like a perfectly adequate, if a little clunky, adventure game. It's got a western theme, nice music, and plays like the old school Lucasarts adventure games.

Sadly, I dropped this game for 2 reasons. The first: I'm simply spoiled by Wadjet Eye and similar higher-budget point and clicks. The lack of voice acting and lack of polish really put me off. Second, and more importantly, the story is unfinished. This is Episode 1 of a planned 3 episode series. However, episode 1 didn't make enough money so the project was scrapped and we never got the conclusion. For that reason this is hard to recommend, especially at its $10 price point. I'd only play this one if you've exhausted every other decent adventure game in your library.

Verdict: Uninstalled
