EA SPORTS College Football 25

July 23, 2024 - Reading time: 2 minutes - Category: game library project

EA SPORTS College Football 25 is, without, a doubt, the most anticipated football game ever. It's the first college football game since NCAA 14, and the first ever with real players. I've never been the biggest CFB fan, and I don't have a hometown team, but it's been a few years since I really played Madden and I've been itching for some football, so I bought this one day one.The gameplay in this game is the best it's ever been in an EA football game. Players move fluidly, it's fast-paced, and just feels great. The presentation is incredible and makes every school feel unique. I've most played some regular games and a bit of the Road to Glory career mode. I haven't dived into the real main course yet- Dynasty mode, which is like Madden's Franchise, because I'm waiting for a few bugs to be sorted out.

I'm really happy with what I've played so far and can see this being my main sports game of 2024. I have some minor gripes - notably, the poor playcalling you get locked into in Road to Glory and some poor decision-making from the CPU players - but it's nothing major and not the main component of the game anyway.

I won't say they knocked it out of the park with this one - after an 11 year gap this was the minimum we should have expected - but I'm pleasantly surprised by how good the game looks and how fun it is to play.

Verdict: Endless
