Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot

March 16, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

I have fond memories of watching DBZ on Cartoon Network with my cousin when he would come over every day after school. For a while it was the only anime series I had seen. I also played almost all the games, mostly middling 2D fighters, and by adulthood had mostly fallen out of love with DBZ.

I was very excited when Kakarot was announced. A semi-open world DBZ game? It sounded like everything I wanted And it mostly was. I really, really liked this game. It's filled with small references to lesser known bits of the series, like random filler episodes. You can tell a lot of love went into it. Sadly, the combat can be a bit one-dimensional, but it's exciting enough to carry the player through the whole story if you're a DBZ fan.

Verdict: Finished

Part of the Game Library Project
