Detroit: Become Human is the newest game from the studio behind Heavy Rain, and follows the same style. You walk around 3D environments, solving small puzzles and doing short QTEs that are a vehicle to keep the player engaged in the story.
In these types of games it's the story that makes or breaks the game, and I enjoyed Detroit's well enough. You play as a few different characters in a near future Detroit, and the theme is "how will we treat sentient androids". It's an interesting enough narrative, and told well enough, but it can be a bit heavy handed. The messaging isn't exactly subtle.
That said, one thing I do give the game credit for is the sheer number of paths the story can take. Your decisions have a large impact on the story, making multiple playthroughs worthwhile.
Verdict: Finished
