Coromon

November 18, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Coromon is one of a slew of monster catching games that have come out in the last few years, and it seems to be one of the best of them. All of these games inevitably get compared to Pokemon. I really like Pokemon, especially the games from the GBA and DS, and Coromon seems to emulate those games pretty well while adding its own flair. The monsters are fun, if not as immediately recognizable as Pokemon (not the game's fault), and the type and stamina system are intuitive.

The game also works great on my Retroid Flip - it's perfectly suited for handheld and that's how I plan on playing it.

This is one I'm going to keep playing over the next couple of weeks. It's perfect for 30 minute sessions.

UPDATE - After playing a bit more of Coromon, it's not grabbing me like I thought it would. For better or worse, whenever I play, I just think "man, I think I'd rather just be playing Pokemon instead". I think this is one I'm going to revisit down the line.

Verdict: Play Later
