Call of Duty: WWII

March 18, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Call of Duty WWII takes the series back to its roots, the second World War, after a long series of modern and near-future games. I only played the campaign, and came away with the same feeling I do from every Call of Duty campaign - that it's a short and sweet, action packed, dumb popcorn movie of a game.

Landing in Normandy never gets old. Call of Duty has perfected its campaigns-  each one of theme is a rollercoaster from beginning to end, 6 to 8 hours of nonstop setpieces and awesome moments. It feels great to play and the shooting is excellent as always. Call of Duty always looks nice and WW2 is no exception.

I hesitate to recommend CoD games just because of their campaigns just because of how short they are, but if you have this one in your library it is worth a playthrough over a weekend.

Verdict: Finished
