Avalanche 2: Super Avalanche

January 8, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

Avalanche 2: Super Avalanche is an evolution of the classic Flash game Avalanche. The premise is simple: climb the tower of falling pieces as high as you can before dying, then try again. It's a vertical endless runner.

Some roguelite elements - you can bank coins in each run and then buy some permanent upgrades and cosmetics in a shop between runs. Music is simple but charming. Controls are tight and what you'd expect for an arcade platformer. I liked this one. This isn't a game you're going to get dozens of hours out of, but for the $2.50 I paid I'm satisfied and it seems like a great game to play while watching a show on a second monitor.

Verdict: Good Timewaster
