Ascendant

Ascendant is a free 2D sidescroller Brawler roguelike from 2014. It's fine. Sadly, there's so many better games in this genre (Dead Cells, Rogue Legacy), that it's hard to recommend if you have access to any of those.
Controls work fine, but are a little floaty. Attacks don't seem to have much impact. The graphics are fine, if simple. The music is nice. I think there's a roots of a good game here, but so many games that do the same thing have gone above and beyond that it's hard to recommend a play.
Verdict: Uninstall
