Age of Empires 2 is a timeless RTS game, and the Definitive Edition is the best way to play it.

Gorgeously remastered for moderns systems, and still updated with balancing patches (and new expansions!) to this day, AoE features dozens of guided single-player campaigns to go along with endless custom scenarios and a thriving multiplayer community. 

AoE 2 DE is a real love letter to the series and the genre, and is the best example of how to continue to support an old game. This support is reflected in the community, the game regularly hits 20k concurrent players, which is insane for a 20 year old RTS. If you have any interest in real-time strategy, AoE2 is absolutely the best you can buy and goes on sale for dirt cheap often.
