A Case of Distrust

March 18, 2023 - Reading time: ~1 minute - Category: game library project

A Case of Distrust is a narrative adventure/interactive fiction game set in 1920's San Francisco where you play as a private investigator.

It takes just a few hours to complete. You move back and forth through various locations, interrogating sketchy characters and gathering evidence to crack the case. Graphics are extremely minimalist, but not unappealing, and the music fits right in with the setting. There are some nods to modern social issues, which I generally dislike in games as it can feel hamfisted, but here I could take it or leave it.

Worth an afternoon's play for fans of this type of game.

Verdict: Finished
